Why so many different crafts?

Variety is the spice of life and jack of trades - master of none are just a few sayings that come to mind when I think about why I try so many different things. The reality is that sometimes I have the attention span of a squirrel and get distracted by really cool things to make that I see on the internet. Oh that looks cool, I wonder if I can can make that is a thought that regularly goes through my head. Sometimes things are fun and I enjoy doing them before the next shiny thing distracts me. Other times I either get bored with the process of making it or it is above my skill/equipment level and my dreams of making whatever that was go out the window. A lot of the time I’ll try something new just to see if I can learn how to do it, it’s always good to learn something new.
